Product Manager, Outpost

In response, we’ve built and grown our digital ordering business, which is committed to connecting more people to real food through convenience and customization. But what we’ve built thus far is just the beginning, and we need to continue to innovate and evolve our digital ordering experience to stay relevant in a quickly evolving consumer landscape.

We are currently seeking a Product Manager, Outpost to enable future digital growth of sweetgreen by meeting the customer where they are and how they want to order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Management - lead digital product strategy for the sweetgreen Outpost business; build customer profiles, brainstorm new ideas, define requirements, write user stories and conduct usability tests to connect our customers to sweetgreen’s mission and drive growth.
  • Stakeholder Management - partner with the Digital, Experience Design, Engineering, Data, Operations, Outpost, Marketing and Food & Beverage teams to define requirements, create cross-functional collaboration and create the ideal customer and courier experiences.
  • Physical & Digital - connect the physical (our stores, team members and the locations our customers order to and from) with the digital (our app and web experiences) to create best-in-class digital ordering and logistics products.
  • Problem Solving - use your diverse background to impact a high growth opportunity that is in the early growth stage. Each project will be unique and you thrive from that culture and challenge.
  • Growth + Build - develop product strategies for the Outpost business that are data-driven, strategic and stretch between supply, demand and logistics to drive growth, optimize costs and create a sustainable business.
  • Operations & Launch - pitch in on key launches and daily operations with partners and businesses.
  • Do the dirty work - enjoy writing clear, concise user stories and conduct A/B tests to get the smallest detail right for a single customer as much as brainstorming and crafting product strategy that will impact hundreds of thousands of sweetgreen fans.
  • Intrapreneurship - the business you’ll be working on isn’t a finished product. Help us innovate with new ideas and be willing to take calculated risks that can pay off in the long run. 

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product/project management, consumer-facing mobile and web applications, or digital marketing experience
  • 3+ years of experience working direct with consumer-facing mobile and web applications
  • Experience with building digital products that rely on the limitations and opportunities created by physical interaction, marketplace experiences or retail
  • Proven leader who can execute and deliver products quickly to cross-platform experiences in a cross-functional environment
  • Outstanding communication skills rooted in clarity and factual analysis; able to and manage effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with data-driven product decisioning and A/B testing frameworks
  • Strong command of agile development processes and rituals
  • Passion for the fusion of food and technology
