About the opportunity


As a VP of Creative Strategy you will be managing a portfolio of videos across multiple brands. You will be responsible for driving the full development cycle of each creative, including:

  • Understanding and distilling the unique selling points of a company’s product or service for various audiences

  • Generating creative concepts including copy and selection of visuals

  • Working with a team of talented directors, producers, and editors to bring these concepts to life

  • Developing the testing strategy for each concept based on the most impactful variables (e.g., video opening variations, actors, copy, etc.) and launching the ads on social media

  • Analyzing data on the full behavioral funnel and developing hypotheses on how to improve and iterate


In addition, you’ll have tremendous opportunities to lead and mentor more junior colleagues and to spearhead company-wide initiatives. Some of our current VPs of Creative Strategy have successfully initiated and launched video innovation labs, creative storytelling labs, and developed their own products to bring to market.


What we are looking for in a candidate


  • Passion for visual, emotional or data-driven storytelling (or all of them)

  • Curiosity to understand consumer behavior at massive scale

  • Strong interest in social media and news feed-native content

  • An analytical mindset and interest in using objective data to inform creative decisions

  • Confident team player who thrives in a collaborative environment

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and iterate

  • Takes pride in her/his work

    • TubeScience is a flat organization without traditional managerial hierarchies, which is why we need team members that can be trusted and empowered, rather than micro-managed

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team

  • 3+ years of applicable work experience (e.g., Marketing, Production, Advertising)

  • Graduate degree in relevant field and/or interdisciplinary study a strong plus (e.g., Psychology/Anthropology/Cognitive Science, STEM)

Some of the causes we're working on in 2018 include reducing recidivism by helping ex-convicts get jobs, and fighting the opiate addiction crisis with hyper-targeted videos.
