We are looking for a Senior Front-End Web Developer for a full-time role who is motivated to take our web application’s user experience to the next level. This role will report to the Director of Engineering and be a key member of the development team but will work closely with the UX Designer and Product team. As the first front-end developer on a team of full-stack developers, this individual will take ownership of the front-end code, defining style guides and coding standards, selecting tooling, etc. You will also work with the UI/UX designer to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

  • Develop new user-facing features, and re-engineer/optimize existing ones

  • Build reusable code and components for future use

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

  • Code review front-end code written by full-stack developers

Required Experience
  • 3+ years minimum of post-education experience as a front-end developer working with  ES6, HTML5, CSS3 (including CSS preprocessors), and JavaScript

  • 2+ years professional experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries like Angular or React

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

  • Proven track record in managing towards timelines

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

  • Experience working with a SaaS product with dozens or hundreds of pages

  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
