Accounting & Finance Associate

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Finance Associate to support the operations of the Office of the COO, including financial, administrative and clerical services.  The Accounting & Financial Associate duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of accounting and financial operations as well as assisting with HR and contract administration.

•    Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts receivable and payable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
•    Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
•    Manage and update the vendor/customer database
•    Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
•    Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues in a timely manner
•    Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
•    Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable and accounts payable status
•    Assist with month end financial reporting
•    Assist with management and administration of client and partner contracts
•    Assist with management and administration of HR, including payroll, insurance, PTO and related tasks
•    Special projects as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
•    At least 2 years experience in Accounting
•    Hands-on experience with Quickbooks Online
•    Proficient in Word and Excel
•    Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
•    Solid understanding of GAAP preferred
•    Experience with SAAS or subscription software companies, a plus
•    Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently 
•    Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers
•    Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic 
•    Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment 
•    Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
