Summary

  Grindr is looking for an experienced Associate Creative Director to work with our internal creative team, freelancers, and the entire creative process at Grindr. Working with the VP of Marketing and Creative Director, this person will play a key role in the evolution of the Grindr brand, and direct compelling and memorable design campaigns that solve our business- as well as our creative-goals.
 

Responsibilities

  • Must have multifaceted experience with brand image, marketing collateral, strong digital chops and content development experience, style guides, product development, store design, etc.
  • Define and drive Grindr’s overall creative vision while maximizing brand integrity
  • Partner with the VP of Marketing and Creative Director in developing and executing Creative vision and story for Brand initiatives which include events, activations, web, and digital content development, photo shoots, video production, etc.
  •  Provide concept, art direction and design direction that support Company goals and strategies
  • Communicate, consult and work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
  • Drive projects from concept and ideation through completion
  • Provide conceptual direction and leadership to partners as it relates to style guide usage and product development
  • Lead with strong communication and direction to guide, inspire, mentor and lead staff to maximize their talents
  • Manage team, timelines, and projects while working across several departments and with outside partners
  • Help team by prioritizing workload, troubleshooting problems, and offering solutions
  • Stay abreast of new Creative technologies and analyze new trends and data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Art, Design, Marketing, Communications or similar Creative discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years industry experience with an emphasis on digital design.
  • Expert knowledge of all steps required in the creative development process, including providing clear creative direction, giving timely and helpful coaching to improve creative and producing all work cost effectively and on schedule.
  • Generate creative ideas and develop those from teams. Lead and inspire these teams to continually raise the creative bar across clients.
  • Work with Creative Director and VP of Marketing to help build strategic business partnerships with clients and agency partners, inspiring and exciting them about creative solutions
  • Understanding of Brand development and multi channel Marketing concepts
  • Strong critical thinking and presentation skills
  • Expert in graphic design with an ability to mentor and guide other graphic designers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Enthusiast of design, pop-culture brands, art, fashion and the LGBTQ Community
