Description

We are designers, developers, and product managers, both experts and learners, coming together to make our city better for everyone. Flex your skills or learn new ones, and give back at the same time! Bring a laptop if you have one, but a team will put you to use no matter what your equipment or skills.

Ongoing projects ("#" is the Slack channel to ask for more information):

Team #StayLoudLA: A platform to make it easy for people to find protests in LA for the issues that matter. The team is pushing forward to design the next generation of their product and get their MVP onto Ruby on Rails to support feature expansion. (www.stayloudla.com)

Team #Engage: A platform to stay up to date on your local issues and make it easier to get your voice heard. The product group is pushing product discovery toward their first clickable prototype, and the data team is developing a machine learning model for deciphering meeting agenda data sets. In partnership with the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce.
