Parkes, whose appointment is part of a larger effort to capitalize on VideoAmp’s terrific momentum by nearly doubling the investment in sales and marketing globally, comes to this role with more than a decade of experience leading sales and marketing teams, with impressive results. He has a decorated career in digital media and technology, and has a track record of growth both in the U.S. and abroad.

“We are thrilled to invite an industry leader like Michael to join VideoAmp’s executive team, where he will undoubtedly make an immediate impact,” said Ross McCray, Co-Founder & CEO, VideoAmp. “With our last couple quarters of growth, we wanted to find the right veteran to continue our momentum and further accelerate our growth even more. We believe Michael’s track record in scaling winning businesses makes him an ideal fit for this global role.”

Prior to VideoAmp, Parkes served as SVP of Sales at Amobee, overseeing the company’s North American sales team ensuring exceptional results and high touch customer service for Amobee’s clients. Amobee, which is owned by Singtel acquired Adconion Direct in 2014 where Michael also served as  SVP of Sales. It’s clear the company has built a truly innovative solution for marketers and publishers with a comprehensive set of cross-screen capabilities that ultimately make video advertising easier to buy and more effective for brands. My focus will be to grow the sales organization and educate brands, agencies, trading desks, publishers and broadcasters on the value VideoAmp can add to their video advertising.”
