Founded in 2013, Survios is a Los Angeles-based virtual reality studio focused on building connected VR experiences with emergent interactivity, social multiplayer, and visceral play. At Survios, we see gaming as an art form, and we don't just concentrate on making games more immersive—we strive to make them more human. Our current project, the acclaimed action-combat title "Raw Data"--now in Steam Early Access--enables players to be a badass hero within a riveting sci-fi atmosphere.

IT Systems Administrator at Survios

Survios, the developer of the best-selling game Raw Data for the HTC Vive, has an opening for a full-time IT Systems Administrator.

Candidates must have a passion for technology infrastructure, tools development, creative problem solving and engineering support.


  • Install, set-up and maintain VR hardware and equipment including the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR systems.
  • Set up and demo VR games to clients and other individuals.
  • Troubleshoot all matters related to employee computers and/or connections to determine approach to solution and resolve.
  • Provide employees with network technical support.
  • Respond to needs and questions of users concerning their software issues.
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, building security systems, and telephone systems
  • Install and test employee computers, software, and peripheral equipment
  • Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components
  • Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
  • Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future


  • Expert experience with Mac in a windows domain environment
  • Intermediate experience installing, setting up and maintaining VR hardware and equipment including the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR systems.
  • Intermediate experience with GSuite, Windows, Linux, SAN/NAS, VMWare, WSUS, WDS, Firewall, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, & DHCP.
  • Basic experience with VLAN, Office, Routing, Backups, and AWS..
  • Passion for Virtual Reality video games and supporting game development infrastructure.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of Perforce, Git, Jenkins, IncrediBuild and other server side game development tools.
  • Experienced with PPTP/Site-to-site persistent VPN creation and maintenance.
  • Experience writing small scripts and utility applications.
